What are we doing? Trying to play God?
The article says the cells will be destroyed after 14 days. Who's to say what the very scientists - who claim that this will help find cures for Alzheimers and Parkinson's - won't get carried away and allow the cells to develop into fully grown ....things???
What then? Are we looking at a new species? What will this species do for the ecological, psychological and emotional balance for an already disturbed race - us human beings?
Will we be sympathetic to it right in the beginning - as children are likely to get excited and feel for new toys - and then outgrow that feeling. What then will become of these? Will we be disgusted with these - as I already am with even the thought of it, call me closed to new things - and then what? Will we want to stomp them out like we do cockroaches? Then how will we justify the creation of these?
