"What is to give light must endure burning." Viktor Frankl
And so I burn, for what is giving light, but bringing a smile on someone's face, or watching a blanket of peace settle between their brows, instead of the ridges there were just moments ago?
Yet the burning that I endure calms my soul as I lay myself down to sleep in the still of the night.
And that is what matters. That I sleep peacefully at night.
What am I doing as a trainer? I should be an interior designer. Or a food critic. Actually, more than a food critic, I should be a hospitality and services critic. I would be an even greater hit at it than I am as a trainer.Case in point? As an interior designer - when I put up the pics of the house in Pune, they will be eloquent description enough. As a critic, the fact that all the time I was sitting in a restaurant owned by a friend's family in Pune, I was having a mental conversation with him about some of the things that could be better in the restaurant. The food, anyway, was wonderful. In the words of a food critic - tantalisingly appealing to the palate...though it was a little away from being a feast for the eyes.I think I should look for an arrangement that allows me to be all three at the same time...trainer, interior designer and hospitality critic.Any leads, anyone?
...And I've been tagged again :)
Must say I enjoy this. Wish there were more bloggers I knew who I could tag. Anyway, here goes... The tag this time is to talk about the 5 things I want to do before I die. 1. A trip around the world with my parents without any time constraints. 2. Get in touch with someone who can help me have an out-of-body experience...Know anyone, guys? 3. Write a book. Doesn't have to be a best seller. 4. Open a restaurant. 5. Swim. I have an irrational fear of being crushed by a huge column of water. It's the only one I haven't ever gotten over since childhood. And oh, if my book is a best seller, I promise I'll still find time to be with you guys :) And now I'm tagging Rupen, Charu and Mala again. Guys...I need to meet some more bloggers. Need to know what fun stuff everyone else is also up to!
I have a humungous headache. And why should the pesky elves inside my head not beat the drums that are giving the deceiving appearance of my veins throbbing at my temples? I gave them enough ammo last night. I think 8-9 shots of tequila, chased by baileys to start with, some grey goose vodka in between and rum and coke in the end, accompanied by some weed and three looooooooooooooooooong drags at a ciggie. And only 1.5 hours of sleep. Can the cocktail get any deadlier? Not any deadlier than a gorgeous, happy 30 year old :)
